Free As A Bird goes Christmas

Today I decided that I wanted to turn the little birds in Stampin' Up's Free As A Bird stamp set into Robins.  Not completely satisfied with my colouring, but not too bad.

I used the Woodland embossing folder on a peice of vellum for the background, cut a frame with the stitched rectangle dies, some sequins, added the birds and a sentiment.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Christmas Gift Card

Oh my!  Two posts in one day (guess who's not doing any housework 😜).

Last night I went to a class hosted by my uplink Kim Fee (https://www.simplyfairies.co.uk/).  We made a beautiful card which I immediately started thinking could make a lovely Christmas gift card holder.

Here's my version

Using old Candy Cane Lane DSP.

Thanks for popping by.

Take care

Everything is Rosy Fancy Fold

Afternoon

Hope you're enjoying the respite from the heat we had earlier this week, I know I am.

Yesterday I watched Natalie O'Shea case a card that she had received from a German demo on the incentive trip.  I knew I wanted to have a go using the Eveything is Rosy papers.  Here's a link to Natalie's post giving all the measurements and a YouTube video (https://www.natalieoshea.co.uk/masculine-hand-made-card/).

Here's how my version turned out

I'm totally in love.  Thanks to Natalie for sharing in the first place.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Magnolia Memory Dies

Hi

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the beautiful weather.

Today I had a little time to play with the Magnolia Memory dies from Stampin' Up.

After die cutting 2 of the large and 2 small outline dies in Bermuda Bay and 4 small outlines in Very Vanilla, I punched out several large and small balloons using the Balloon Banquet punch in Bermuda Bay.  I then used the Leaf and Sprig punches for the leaves in gold.  The centres of the flowers are also from the Magnolia Memory dies also cut out in gold.  I had a very small (4") cross-stitch hoop lying around, I wrapped half of it in Stampin' Up's Braided Linen trim (applying hot glue periodically to keep it in place) and then adhered the flowers using hot glue.  I love how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Happy Place

Hi

I thought I would show a couple of photos of my "happy place".  This is where I spend most of my weekend (after the housework is done of course!!!)

Just about everything here is from Ikea, except the shelves above my desk, hubby made that.  I have a wall in the dining room, but often spread out across the dining table.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Big hugs
